Browse by Item:

Items are individual drawings in the Fraser Shipyards Collection. To browse the index by Item, click the “Browse Items” link at the top of the page. This will take you to a list of ALL drawings in the index. This is a very long list.

You can sort the drawings in several ways using the “Sort by” options on the right-hand side of the page. Sorting by Title will result in a list of all drawings in alphabetical order by the title of the drawing. Sorting by Creator will group the drawings in alphabetical order according to the company that created the drawing. Drawings with no Creator indicated will appear at the end of the list. You can also sort by Date Added. By default, the drawings that were added to the index first will appear at the top of the list. To see drawings that were added to the index recently, click the arrow next to the “Date Added” list. This will move the most recently added drawings to the top of the list.

You can also browse drawings by Tag. Click the “Browse by Tag” link on the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you to a list of all Tags. Click the Tag you are interested in to see a list of all drawings associated with that Tag. To learn more about Tags, visit the Tags help page.

Browse by Collection:

A Collection is a group of drawings created by Fraser Shipyards when they were using drawings for a particular job. To browse the index by Collection, click the “Browse Collections” link at the top of the page. This will take you to a list of all Collections in the index.

You can sort the Collections in several ways using the “Sort by” options on the right-hand side of the page. Sorting by Title will result in a list of all Collections in alphabetical order by the title of the Collection. You can also sort by Date Added. By default, the Collections that were added to the index first will appear at the top of the list. To see Collections that were added to the index recently, click the arrow next to the “Date Added” list. This will move the most recently added Collections to the top of the list.
